How delivered work shows in compliance
Who this is for. A programme lead who has just had work accepted, and the Assessor who owns the assessment it answers.
What you want to know. Whether accepted work has moved a compliance outcome, and what is still to be confirmed by an assessment.
The short answer is that delivery work projects a compliance position and an assessment confirms it. Accepted work never changes an assessed score.
What the product does
Section titled “What the product does”- A finding is addressed by a work package or deliverable (its Addressed by list). That link is how the work is tied to a compliance outcome.
- An Assessor states, on that link, what it claims for the outcome: a band of the framework’s own scale.
- When the deliverable is accepted, or every deliverable in the work package is accepted, after the assessment was baselined, Where we stand shows the outcome with its assessed band and its projected band, lists it under Due for reassessment, and offers Start a reassessment of these outcomes.
- When the next assessment is baselined, the projection clears. If that assessment scored the outcome lower than the work claimed, the outcome reads Not confirmed by the assessment of that date.
Nothing is written to a score. A projection is never counted in an achieved figure, in movement, or in the heat map, and it is always labelled as projected.
Stating what a link claims
Section titled “Stating what a link claims”On a finding’s page, under Addressed by, each work package or deliverable has Claims for this outcome. The choices are the bands of the framework’s own scale, and No uplift stated. The label under it reads “Shown beside the assessed band as a projection once the work is accepted. It never changes the assessed score.”
- Only a holder of Assessments: Edit can state it (Admin and Assessor by default). A Delivery Lead cannot, so delivery cannot mark its own work as compliant.
- The claim locks once work behind the link is accepted; the page then reads “Locked: work behind this link has been accepted.”
- A benefit link has no claim.
- A link with no stated uplift still makes the outcome due for reassessment, but gives no projected band: “Work accepted; no uplift stated.”
Which accepted work counts
Section titled “Which accepted work counts”- A deliverable linked directly to the finding, or
- a work package linked to the finding when every deliverable in it is accepted. A work package with no deliverables never qualifies.
The deliverable’s own acceptance chain decides whether it is accepted. The finding must be on an outcome of the same framework and scope as the assessment. Work counts only if it was accepted after the outcome was scored; a sign-off that carries a date and no time, as an import does, is compared as a date and does not count on the same day.
If several links qualify, the highest stated claim is the projection, and only if it is above the assessed score. There is never a projection from nothing.
What you see on Where we stand
Section titled “What you see on Where we stand”For each scope’s current baselined assessment:
- A note that “N outcomes have work accepted since [assessment] was baselined on [date]”, with how many more are projected to be achieved, and that “the assessed position has not changed; a reassessment confirms or corrects it”.
- Each outcome as one of three states: Projected (“Assessed: Partially achieved. Projected: Achieved, from accepted work.”), Due for reassessment (work accepted, no uplift stated), or Not confirmed (“Not confirmed by the assessment of [date]”).
- Start a reassessment of these outcomes, which starts a scoped assessment of the due outcomes.
The names of the deliverables behind a projection are shown only to readers who see those records in full, and the projection follows the scope’s readers.
In the board pack
Section titled “In the board pack”The optional Assessment movement section carries one line per scope on the projection, frozen with the figures when the pack is generated. The heat map is unchanged: it shows assessed positions only.
Benefits measured from assessments
Section titled “Benefits measured from assessments”A compliance benefit can take its figure from the same assessments. See how benefits are measured.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- A framework update starts a new chain. A projection belongs to one framework version; movement across versions is refused (see comparing assessments).
- Nothing is automatic. Works does not raise a finding, reopen a deliverable or change a score when an assessment does not confirm the work.
- The Advisor may propose, never state. Deciding what a link claims is the Assessor’s act.
